Location of the Park
ArkaZien and its Region are worth a Visit
Arkazien amusement park is located in a beautiful region east of Leipzig in Saxony. Take your time to explore not only the park but also the charming surrounding area.
Fascinating regional (geological) history - visible in the park
ArkaZien lies in a region with a particularly fascinating geological history. Gigantic volcanic eruptions, among the largest in Earth's history, took place here 290 million years ago. They left behind a diverse landscape and a unique wealth of stone. The Rochlitz porphyry tuff is the most beautiful and famous porphyry and is part of Germany's UNESCO World Heritage. The Geopark Porphyrland makes this geological heritage known and accessible.
Various porphyries from the surrounding active quarries were also used in the construction of ArkaZien.

ArkaZien in the Muldental (Mulde valley)
Our leisure park is located in the beautiful Mulde Valley. The Mulde River shapes the landscape, meandering past imposing rock formations, along meadows, fields, and charming towns through its floodplain. During floods, it is one of the fastest-flowing rivers in Europe, and its destructive power has been demonstrated in numerous major (and minor) floods. The Mulde's natural habitat and its floodplains provide a home for many animal and bird species. Herons, white-tailed eagles, cormorants, kingfishers, cranes, storks – anyone who loves nature will feel right at home here. Well-maintained cycling and hiking trails guide visitors through the region.
Our park incorporates (native) nature in many places. Whether it's the heron playground, the lizard castle, or the willow labyrinth with its small stream – in ArkaZien, great emphasis is placed on inspiring naturalness.

Castles, fortresses, manor houses
A longer stay in the region is worthwhile for many reasons, as it also offers a wealth of outstanding historical sites. Saxony's history was significantly influenced from here. Castles, fortresses, and manor houses can be found in many small towns and villages. They testify to the claims of numerous ruling houses to this strategically well-situated and fertile land. Today, museums, hotels, and restaurants occupy these historic buildings and welcome visitors. A side trip to the ArkaZien amusement park is also highly recommended.
