How we act sustainably
Regional products and materials
We place great importance on using regional products – whether for food or for construction and maintenance materials. By collaborating with local businesses, we support the local economy and simultaneously reduce our environmental footprint, as transport routes are shorter. In this way, we are all contributing to strengthening our region sustainably.
Green roofs and insect-friendly plants
A key component of our sustainability strategy is the greening of our roofs and the planting of insect-friendly plants. These measures promote biodiversity, improve the ecological balance, and provide habitat for numerous insect species, reptiles, and birds. In doing so, we are setting an example for the protection of biodiversity and the preservation of our natural environment.
Sustainable use of wood
On our premises, we consciously prioritize the sustainable use of wood: all buildings are heated with residual wood from production. The walls consist of a wood chip-concrete mixture that we mix on-site. We process the very last remaining wood scraps into wood chips for paving the pathways. This reduces waste, saves energy, and supports sustainable construction and operation.
Energy-efficient lighting
To minimize our energy consumption, we use modern LED lighting throughout the entire facility. These energy-efficient lights help us save electricity and reduce our environmental impact.
Avoidance of single-use materials
Sustainability for us also means avoiding waste. That's why we use reusable tableware at ArkaZien, such as our eco-friendly cups and bowls. These reusable alternatives conserve resources and reduce waste. In our restrooms, we also use hand dryers instead of paper towels to minimize waste and ensure hygiene.
Vegetarian dishes
Our culinary offerings place a special emphasis on vegetarian dishes. Plant-based diets have a smaller ecological footprint and help conserve resources. With our vegetarian options, we aim to contribute to protecting our planet while offering you delicious taste experiences.
Digital Tickets
To save paper and make ticket purchases as convenient as possible, we also offer our tickets digitally. This saves resources, reduces waste, and makes your visit with us even more environmentally friendly.
