Barriers in the park
A circular route is possible with some assistance
Guests with disabilities are warmly invited to immerse themselves in the magical world of Arkazien, explore the beautiful park, and discover special places. Much of the circular path in the park is accessible, so you can easily explore it in a wheelchair. For the passage through the mine, which is covered with wood chips, it might be helpful if your companion or caregiver assists you.
We are aware that ArkaZien still has room for improvement regarding accessibility and inclusion. The natural and adventurous nature of our themed areas includes surfaces like wood chips, which, while contributing to the overall atmosphere and safety, can pose a challenge for people with various disabilities, especially wheelchair users. We are continuously working to further develop our offerings and create accessible options. We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
Here are some important tips for your visit:
Admission prices
Adult
A severely disabled adult receives a discounted admission price upon presentation of their disability ID card (card with the code B or H). Their accompanying person receives free admission.
Child
A severely disabled child receives free admission upon presentation of their disability ID card (card with the code B or H). The accompanying person also receives free admission.
Parking
Right in the entrance area we have reserved parking spaces for visitors with disabilities, so you don't have to walk far.
Entrance
Our wheelchair-accessible entrances are located at the entrance portal, on the spines of the books „Die Spur des Bergmanns“, „Wo Geschichten lebendig sind“ and „Verschollen im Dschungel“.
Path conditions in the park
Some paths are surfaced with wood chips and natural stone paving. Having a companion is helpful here.
Toilets
All our accessible toilets are barrier-free and are located:
- in the entrance area behind the ticket booth
- in the indoor hall opposite the pasta kitchen (under construction)
Gastronomy
Most of our restaurants are wheelchair accessible. However, there are steps or uneven surfaces in the following locations:
- Cafeteria at the market
- Pizzaria
